Shihan Ron Blackwood is a 15th Degree Black Belt and holds a Shidoshi (Senior Instructor) license issued by Grandmaster Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi. Ron has been practicing Ninjutsu exclusively for the past 25 years and studies in Japan with Hatsumi-sensei on a regular basis. Previously, he trained in Filipino Kali and Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do.

An experienced outdoorsman, Ron enjoys backpacking and technical rock climbing. He is also an experienced SCUBA diver, one class away from Master Diver Certification. Ron enjoys competitive shooting, does his own reloading and is an adjunct instructor at a local shooting range.

 

A warm and knowledgeable instructor, he brings a unique perspective of understanding to an ancient art previously shrouded in mystery.
